Anne brings a comfortable, modern approach to her designs. Anne believes that good design is as much about solving problems as it is about creating memorable spaces. Her broad vision offers clients modern solutions, which are sophisticated, yet appropriate and comfortable. She has a wide range of experience working on both large and small residential and commercial projects, and brings her art background to the sketches she creates for clients.
Anne began her career in Los Angeles working at Charles & Charles Antiques, as well as Butterfield and Butterfield, developing her own clients and creating a name for herself. In 1993, she opened her own design studio. Whether meeting her client’s needs requires period designs or minimalist modern décor, her creations are always elegant and timeless, telling the clients story rather than her own. Her artistic eye has taken her from fine art to architecture and into interior and landscape design. Elegant, understated, and in harmony with the architectural and natural landscape are words that best describe the creative practice Anne utilizes.
Anne trained at UCLA’s prestigious Interior and Architecture Program where she was introduced to Frank Gehry; he influenced her tremendously and guided her towards Interior Design and Architecture. Anne learned the importance of marrying traditional design tools with the art of hand sketching and painting. An artist and a painter, Anne utilizes both hand drawings and paintings to communicate her designs.
Anne’s work includes an eclectic array of projects. She has been featured at the Pasadena Junior Philharmonic Showcase House of Design and the Assistance League of Southern California’s Design House. Her work has been shown in Traditional Home, Metropolitan Home, HGTV, MTV Cribs, and the Larchmont Chronicle.
Anne currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with her two children.
